Spatial Research's software base encompasses
proprietary designs that compliment and extend the services of
the operating system. The design
of software and products are governed by the following principles:
Simplicity: The interaction with
a computer should be natural. Simplicity is the premier strategy
for guaranteeing broad adoption. Next-generation products are
often inhibited by their reluctance to incorporate existing concepts
and uses into their design.
Flexibility: Software should be
designed to solve the targeted objectives of a product while flexible
enough to respond to future goals and requirements. Products should
allow broad user customization to allow uninhibited command and
control.
Spatial Research Rendering Engine (RE)
The Spatial Research RE is a robust, high-performance
and extensible scenegraph designed specifically to solve problems
related to complex user interface management. While similar to
the software components that power 3-D games, the Spatial Research
RE is patently unique in its function to integrate and seamlessly
coexist with the windowing system. The Spatial Research RE provides
not only standard rendering services but also particle, animation
and physics effects.
